Check fork compatibility. KIT INCLUDES EDC TOP CAP EDC steerer plug 2x 1mm, 3mm, & 5mm Headset Spacers INSTALL THE EDC TOP CAP You need a minimum of 5mm of headset spacer above the stem and your steerer tube should be 1-2mm below the top of this spacer. Apply a small amount of grease to your newly cut thread and screw in your new EDC top cap. The Top Cap interface uses a standard cassette lockring tool. You do not need to apply much torque as you are only preloading the bearings. (Your stem pinch bolts are what holds your fork in place). The EDC multitool contains a top cap tightening tool. So even when riding you always have the ability to tighten your headset if need be. Align your stem and tighten your stem bolts to the manufacturers recommended torque. The final step is to insert the plastic bung/plug into the bottom of your fork. Turn your 8mm hex sideways and use it to push the plug into the fork by pulling the 8mm towards your chest. This piece holds the bottom of the EDC Tool and stops it from rattling. It also keeps dirt out of your fork and has a small drain hole. PATENTED US 10,197,049 Other patents Pending STORY We always prefer to ride without a backpack, whenever possible in Squamish. But no one wants to be 'that guy' who needs to borrow tools when out on a ride, or has to hike down the trail with a broken bike. We wanted a solution that would allow us to carry the essential tools that we need for every ride, without wearing a bulky backpack, which is why we created the EDC tool system. For rides under 3 hours we recommend storing your EDC Tool in your steerer tube, with the Tubeless Plug Kit installed and already loaded with Bacon in case you get a flat. By attaching your complete tool system to your bike you can be sure to never forget your repair kit. We carry the 70cc pump mounted to our water bottle cage with a spare tube strapped to our frame using a OneUp Gear Strap, just in case you can't fix a puncture with your tubeless plugs. This leaves your pockets free for keys, phone and snacks. For rides over 3 hours we add a fanny pack or small backpack so that we can pack more food and water, a jacket, merino base-layer and a basic first aid kit. A small backpack weighs around 1.5lbs (680g) completely empty. That's the weight difference between a carbon and an aluminum frame.
The Bottom Bracket Wrench removes and installs Shimano Hollowtech II, Race Face X-type, FSA MegaExo, Campagnolo Ultra-Torque and TruVativ Giga X-pipe bottom brackets. Laser cut for a precise fit, one end of the BBT-9 securely engages the 16 cup notches, while the other end engages the 8 internal splines of the crankarm adjustment cap.
Take the guesswork out of installing cables, wires and housing inside the frame. The IR-1.2 speeds the internal frame routing of electric wires, shift cable/housing, brake cable/housing and hydraulic tubing on carbon fiber, titanium, and aluminum frames. Kit includes four plastic-coated 250cm cables with attached magnets and unique fittings plus an external guide magnet to speed operation. Newly updated to include a dedicated E-tube Di2 cable connector that easily pulls through a 6mm frame hole. Opposite polarity magnets on cables seek and attach inside frame tubes, making it easy to route through frame entrances and exits. Works with any size frame including tandems. A true time and frustration saver!
